Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. All surgical patients are on IV fluids using IV fluid pumps to deliver acurate and reliable hydration to your pet while under anesthesia. In addition your pet is monitored by our certified technician staff at all times with state of the art monitoring devices.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. We only utilize the gas anesthetic Sevoflurane, where many clinics are still using Isoflurane. Using state of the art monitors like; Electrocardiography (ECG), NEW HIGH DEFINITION oscillometric blood pressure monitor, Doppler blood pressure monitoring equipment, capnography (CO2), Repiratory Monitoring and pulse oximetry, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern digital X-ray equipment provides high quality digital radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. Digital images are more detailed, you have many more options to look at them and can be quickly sent to specialists if need be for consultation. Digital radiography is state of the art technology providing top of the line service for your pet in need.
Ultrasonography & Cardiology Services: We provide echocardiogram & ultrasonography services on-site with board certified specialists. We also offer in house ultrasonography at all times to aid in diagnosing your pet's pathology in their time of need. Our on site cardiology service includes our in house radiology (x-rays), blood pressure monitoring with our NEW HIGH DEFINITION oscillometric blood pressure monitor and Doppler blood pressure monitoring equipment, as well as on site ECG with our portable ECG machine.
Endoscopy Services: Arbor Ridge Pet Clinic is excited to offer both rigid and flexible endoscopy. This allows use to examine, biopsy and culture the upper airway and sinuses, the trachea and bronchi as well as the esophagus, stomach, small intestines and colon in certain pets. Female and large male dogs we can offer cystoscopy or examination of the bladder via our flexible endoscope. Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, cytology and fecal parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics, biopsies, cultures and consultations.
Exotic Animal Medicine: We offer our full range of services to not only our dog and cat patients, but also to our other furred, feathered and scaled companion pets as well.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning, polishing, and sealants, as well as tooth extractions and oral surgery. Our new Dental X-Ray Machine and Digital Direct Dental machine by DentalAire allows us to find and treat more pathology and lesions that gingival probing and sight would not see.
Ophthalmology: We offer Tonometry to monitor our patient's eyes for glaucoma. We offer eye cytology, culture and sensitivity, Schirmmer tear testing, and fluorescein staining. We now offer the ClearView TM fundus viewing system. This allows us to take digital pictures of your pets fundus (retina) to help visualize the eye for problems with sight.
Grooming: We offer pet bathing, nail trims and ear cleaning.
Dermatology: We offer allergy testing and consultation, skin biopsies, cytology for your pet.
Acupuncture: We offer in house acupuncture by Dr. Terri Osgood, who is trained and certified in acupuncture and eastern medicine.
Heartworm Testing: Heartworm testing is available IN HOUSE for BOTH dogs and cats. Arbor Ridge Pet Clinic utilizes IDEXX's 4DX test when testing dogs for heartworm disease. This allows us to screen your dog not only for heartworm disease but also for Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and Anaplasmosis. These are tick born diseases that are common in Wisconsin. For cats we utilize the IDEXX Triple Test. This test screens for heartworm disease in cats as well as Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immune-deficiency Virus). By utilizing these cutting edge tests we not only screen for the deadly heartworm disease, but also other serious diseases that can affect your dog or cat.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet. We carry Vectra 3D, Frontline, Promeris, Sentinel, Confortis, Capstar, and Revolution (for cats).
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight loss, maintenance and performance.
Senior Health Program: The Arbor Ridge Pet Clinic is pleased to offer our Senior Health Care Program. This is an all encompassing program for our senior patients. Since our senior pets age seven of our years for every one of their years it is important to perform bi-annual exams. In addition we are offering a comprehensive Senior Profile that will screen your pet for many illnesses. By closely monitoring your pet in their senior years we can help you enjoy your pet for many years. Microchipping: We offer HOME AGAIN Microchipping to allow you to ensure that your pet find its way home even without its collar. This microchip is international, so it can be read all over the world.
DNA Blood Testing: We offer avian and iguana blood sex testing to determine the sex of your pet.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
Bathing: Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
Boarding: We offer boarding services to our feline and exotic patients. Exotic pets must be accompanied with cage, bedding, dishes and food. Sorry we can not board dogs.
